Usage of 'Is' 

Saying it in English: 

1. Correct She is Indian/She's Indian

2. Incorrect She am Indian. 
In simple present tense, 'Am' is used with only 'I', is first person and singular. 

For second person singular, 'you', we use 'are'. Note that even though 'you' can be used both for singular and plural (you all), we always use only 'are' with it. 'Is' is never used with 'you'. 

Coming to the 3rd person pronouns, in simple present tense, for singular 3rd person pronouns, 'He'/'She'/'It' we use 'is'. 
In simple present tense, for plural 3rd person pronoun, 'they' we use 'are'. 

Usage of 'Am' 

Saying it in English: 
1. Correct speak English 
2. Incorrect am speak English 
am speak English is incorrect English. In simple present tense, we do not need to add 'is/am/are' before the main verb (speak). 

Usage of 'Are' 

Saying it in English: 
1. Correct They are from America 
2. Incorrect They is from America. 
'Are' is used with 2nd person (singular/ plural), and with 1st and 3rd person PLURAL nouns and pronouns. (We/They) 

Correct usage: They speak English. 
Incorrect usage: They are speak English. 
In simple present tense, we do not add 'is/am/are' before the main verb.
