Diwali Vocabulary Words and terms:

1. Deepavali in English means 'A row of lights'. (deep = light, avali = a row)
(दिपावली को आर्थ 'रोशनी को एक पंक्ति' हो. )
2. Exile = the state of being barred from one's native country.
E. g. Diwali is the celebration of the return of Lord Ram after 14 years of exile.
(निर्वासनमा = राज्य वा देशबाट रोक लगाइएको भइरहेको।
उदाहरणका : दिपावली प्रभु राम को निर्वासनमा को 14 वर्ष पछि प्रतिफलको उत्सव हो. )
3. Ritual = a religious or solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order.
E. g. Lakshmi Pooja is a ritual performed on the day of Diwali.
(धर्मविघि = एक धार्मिक वा आध्यात्मिक समारोह जो निर्धारित क्रम अनुसार प्रदर्शन कामको श्रृंखला मिलेर गरिन्छ.
उदाहरणका: दिपावली को दिन महालक्ष्मी पूजा गर्नु एक धर्मविघि हो. )
4. Motif = a decorative image or design
E. g. People decorate the entrance of their house with Rangoli motifs on Diwali.
(नमूना = एक सजावटी छवि वा डिजाइन
उदाहरणका: घर - आगनमा रंगोलिको नमूना दीपावलीमा बनाउने चलन छ. )
5. Clay Lamps = Diya
E. g. Clay lamps are lit during Diwali.
(माटोको दीपक = दिया
उदाहरणका: दिप्वालीमा माटोको दीपक बलीन्छा. )
6. Auspicious = attended by good fortune
E. g. Diwali is an auspicious occasion for Hindus.
(शुभ : राम्रो भाग्य उपस्थित
उदाहरणका: दीवाली हिन्दूहरू लागि एक शुभ अवसर हो. )
7. Prosperity = a successful, flourishing condition, especially in financial respects
E. g. This Diwali may you be blessed with good fortune, wealth, prosperity, and happiness.
(समृद्धि = एक सफल, पनप विशेष गरी वित्तीय पक्षहरूमा
उदाहरणका: यो दिपावली तपाईंको राम्रो भाग्य, धन, समृद्धि, र आनन्दमय रहोस. )
8. Fireworks =
E. g. On Diwali night, fireworks light up the neighborhood skies.
(आतिशबाजी = उदाहरणका: दिपावलीको रात, आतिशबाजीले आकास ढाकिएको हुन्छ. )
