Fashion Vocabulary:
1. Garments (Pakaian) – another word for items of clothes, apparels.
2. Accessories (Aksesori) – things (bags, belts or jewellery) that can be added to your outfit to make it more attractive and stylish.
3. Fashion victim (Mangsa fesyen) – a person who wears popular trends and looks really ridiculous because he/she ends up looking like a store mannequin.
4. Catwalk or runway (Pentas peragaan) – a narrow flat platform, used by models to present designer clothes.
5. Clothes stall (Petak pakaian) – a booth displaying clothes in a market.
6. Fashion icon (Ikon fesyen) – someone or something who is very well known as an example of style and high fashion.
7. Must - haves (Wajib dipunyai) – highly essential clothes that you must have in your wardrobe this season. Clothing must - haves also comprise the essentials of your wardrobe.
FASHION IDIOMS AND EXPRESSIONS:
1. To have a sense of style – to know what looks good on you and have your own style and taste. (Punya rasa fesyen yang baik)
2. To be old - fashioned – to wear clothes or do something that is no longer in style. (Bergaya fesyen lama)
3. Strike a pose – to take a particular posture in order to impress. You can strike a pose for the camera. (Berlagak, bergaya)
4. To be dressed to kill – wear something with an intention to stand out/impress people and be noticed. (Memakai pakaian yang mengancam)
