1. Plot: the series of events that form the main story. (கதையின் முக்கிய நிகழ்வுகளின் தொடர் காட்சிகள்)
E. g. It was a good film, but the plot was difficult to follow at times.
2. Scene: a small part of a film. (திரைப்படத்தின் ஒரு சிறு பகுதி)

3. Cast: all the actors and actresses in a movie or TV show. (திரைப்படத்தில் நடித்துள்ளவர்கள்)

E. g. For film class we had to compare movies from two different genres, such as comedy and horror.
6. Cinema: a place where movies are shown on a big screen. (திரையரங்கு)
E. g. Let's meet in front of the cinema just before the movie starts.
