Jewellery Vocabulary Words:
1. Setting
Diamond Setting or Gemstone Setting is when the gemstone has been secured in position by the metal used in the piece. (सेटिङ - यो रत्न टुकडा प्रयोग धातु द्वारा स्थितिमा सुरक्षित गरिएपछी हीरा सेटिङ वा रत्न सेटिङ हुन्छ)
2. Solitaires
Solitaires are by definition a jewellery piece, which has a single main gem. The term is used more with diamonds than gemstones. (सालिटेयर्स एक मुख्य मणि लाई भनिन्छ, यो हीरा संग थप प्रयोग गरिन्छ)
3. Gold Hallmarking
Gold Hallmarking is a stamp imprinted on a jewellery piece that indicates the purity of gold (or its Karatage), its trademark, and other information about the manufacturer. (एक आभूषण टुक्रा को शुद्धता संकेत गर्छ, यसको ट्रेडमार्क, र निर्माता बारे मा अन्य जानकारीको अंकित टिकट छ)
4. Finish
Finish is another big aspect when it comes to jewellery. Finish is the final polish given to the metal.

There are many different types that can be achieved on precious metal which are:
a. Frosted Gold which is the finish achieved on gold that appears to be like frosted glass. (frosted ग्लास जस्तै देखिन्छ)
b. Matt Finish is when the gold is made to look dull, without shine but still retains its warm yellow hue. (सुन नीरस हेर्न बनेको)
c. Hammered Finish is achieved by beating the metal, leaving small, underlying portions on the gold. (धातु पिटाई गरी सुन मा सानो अन्तरनिहित अंश छोडेर हासिल गरिने)
d. High Finish is the finish where the gold is given a mirror - like glossy appearance. (ऐना - जस्तो चमकदार)
5. Navratna
The Navratna is a collection of 9 gems, both precious and semi - precious that together are believed to guide the 9 planets. This navratna is assumed to bring its wearer peace and happiness. 6. Facets
Facets are the polished surfaces seen on a gemstone that were designed to allow light to enter and leave the gem. (प्रकाश प्रविष्ट र छोड्न अनुमति प्रदान गर्न बनाइएका पलिश सतहहरु)
