1. Pull over: This phrase means that when a particular vehicle has been stopped by an individual or an incident, it becomes necessary for the driver to stop the car on the side of the road. (एखाद्या आपत्तीच्या वेळी रहदारी वाढल्याने गाडी रस्त्याच्या बाजूला घेणे)

2. A commute (to commute): the journey to work(कामावर जाणे)

3. Contraflow: when there is a construction going on one side of the road, only half of the road is available for traffic of both sides i. e. Left and Right. (जेव्हा रस्त्याच्या एका बाजूला काम चालू असते म्हणून दुसऱ्या बाजूने पूर्ण रस्त्याचा वापर होतो)

6. Congestion: when it becomes difficult to find a way and move ahead because of huge traffic, there is supposed to be a congestion. (रहदारी गर्दी वाढल्यामुळे ठप्प होणे)

7. Gridlock: a type of traffic jam where "continuous queues of vehicles block an entire network of intersecting streets, bringing traffic in all directions to a complete standstill". (जेव्हा रस्त्याची पूर्ण रहदारी सर्व बाजूंनी ठप्प होते)
E. g. Gridlock is the main problem of traffic jam on Sunday evenings and festival times.
