The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. Mahatma Gandhi

As we all know, Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2nd October every year to commemorate the birth of our father of Nation, Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi.

Mahatma Gandhi was great leader at the time of India's freedom struggle and was law graduate.

He has been offered the title of ‘Father of the Nation’ for his significant contributions to the country. We are all familiar with the leadership role that he undertook to free Bharat from the clutches of the British rule. It is great opportunity for the countrymen to pay homage and respect to this great leader, who sacrificed his life for the betterment of the country.

Gandhi travelled various parts of India to motivate the men and women of the country to fight against British rule and to follow the path of non violence to attain the same. It was for his efforts and contribution that he has been conferred upon the title of "Mahatma".

So let's all remember his remarkable contribution and celebrate this special day by offering prayers and paying homage to this great man. It is for this reason that Gandhi Jayanti is considered National holiday.
