७ भनाइ हरु
1. Devil's Advocate - a person who expresses a contentious opinion in order to provoke debate or test the strength of the opposing arguments.
अरुलाई उक्साउने र तिनी का तर्क को दम को परिक्षा लिने व्यक्ती
Example: Teachers often play devil's advocate to provoke discussion in the classroom.
उद्धारण: गुरु हरु प्राय: कक्षा मा 'Devil's advocate' खेलेर तर्क को परिक्षा लिने गर्छन्.
2. Curiosity killed the cat - being inquisitive about other people's affairs may get you into trouble.
अरु को जीवन मा बढी रुची राखेर समस्या मा पर्नु.
Example: Don't ask about his break - up, curiosity killed the cat!
उद्धारण: उसको बारे मा न सोध, 'Curiosity killed the cat'
3. What you sow is what you reap - You eventually have to face up to the consequences of your actions.
३) जे जोत्छ त्यही फल्छ
Example: If you treat your friends like that, of course they drop you. You reap what you sow in this life.
उद्धारण: साथीहरु लाई त्यस्तै व्यवहार गर्नु भयो भने उनिहरु ले पनि छोड्नेछन. 'What you sow is what you reap'
4. A dime a dozen - very common and of no particular value.

Example: Water is treated as a dime a dozen. That is why people waste it.
उद्धारण: आजभोलि पानी लाई 'A dime a dozen' जस्तै प्रयोग गरिन्छ.
5. Beat around the bush - To avoid getting to the point of an issue
मुद्दा छोडेर अरु अरु कुरा गर्नु
Example: She never told her friend the truth. She kept beating around the bush.
उद्धारण: उसले आफ्न मित्रहरुलाई सत्य भनिन, उसले सधैं Beat around the bush.
6. Cold shoulder - a phrase used to express dismissal or the act of disregarding someone.
कसैको अनादर गर्नु
Example: He offered a cold shoulder when a stranger asked for help.
उद्धारण: नचिनेको मान्छे ले सहयोग माग्दा उसले Cold shoulder दियो.
7. Fit as a fiddle - in very good health.
तन्दुरुस्त
Example: I met her yesterday after 2 years, she looked fit as a fiddle.
उद्धारण: म ऊ सित २ वर्स पछी हिजो भेटे, ऊ त साह्रै तन्दुरुस्त देखिन.
