1. Advise, Advice
Advise - Offer suggestions about the best course of action to someone. (ஒருவரின் சிறந்த செயலை பற்றி பரிந்துரைகளை வழங்க. )
Advice - an opinion or recommendation offered as a guide to action, conduct, etc. (ஒரு கருத்து அல்லது பரிந்துரை முதலியன ஒரு வழிகாட்டியாக வழங்கப்படுகிறது)
Example: Neha advised me to give Pooja an advice on what to wear for the party. (சுதா, பூஜா விருந்தில் என்ன அணிய வேண்டும் என்ன ஒரு ஆலோசனை கொடுக்க எனக்கு அறிவுரை கூறினார்.
2. Weather, Whether
Weather - the state of the atmosphere at a particular place and time as regards heat, cloudiness, dryness, sunshine, wind, rain, etc. (ஒரு வளிமண்டலத்தில் சூழ்நிலை வெப்பம், மேகமூட்டம், வறட்சி, சூரிய ஒளி, காற்று, மழை, முதலியன கருதுகிறது)
Whether - expressing a doubt or choice between alternatives. (மாற்று தீர்வுக்கு இடையே ஒரு சந்தேகம் அல்லது தேர்வு வெளிப்படுத்தும். )
Example: Whether you agree to it or not, the weather has become cold. (நீங்கள் அதை ஒப்புகொல்வீர்கலூ இல்லையோ, வானிலை குளிராக மாறிவிட்டது. )
3. Alter, Altar
Alter - change in character or composition, typically in a comparatively small but significant way. (பொதுவாக ஒரு ஒப்பீட்டளவில் சிறிய ஆனால் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க வழியில், பாத்திரம் அல்லது கலவை மாற்ற. )
Altar - An elevated place or structure before which religious ceremonies may be enacted or upon which sacrifices may be offered. (ஒரு உயர்ந்த இடம் அல்லது அமைப்பு மத சடங்குகள் இயற்றப்படும் அல்லது ஏதேனும் தியாகத்திற்கு வழங்கப்படும்)
Example: We need to alter the altar. It is very old now. (நாம் வணங்குதற்குரிய இடம் மாற்ற வேண்டும். அது இப்போது மிகவும் பழமையானதாக ஆகிவிட்டது. )
4. Principal, Principle
Principal - first in order of importance; main. (முதல் முக்கியத்துவம் பொருட்டு; முக்கிய. )
Principle - morally correct behaviour and attitudes. (விறைப்பான சரியான நடத்தை மற்றும் அணுகுமுறைகளை. )
Example: The principal of that school is a man of principles. (பள்ளியின் முதல்வர் கொள்கைகளின் ஒரு மனிதன். )
5. Bare, Bear
Bare - (of a person or part of the body) not clothed or covered. ((ஒரு நபர் அல்லது உடல் பகுதி) ஆடையுடன் அல்லது நிருவானமாய். )
Bear - a large, heavy mammal which walks on the soles of its feet, having thick fur and a very short tail (கரடி)
Bear - support; carry the weight of. (ஆதரவு; எடை செயல்படுத்த. )
Example: The bear was bare. He was bearing the weight of the tree. (கரடி வெற்று இருந்தது. அது மரத்தின் எடையை தாங்கி கொண்டு இருந்தது. )
6. Whole, Hole
Whole - all of; entire. (அனைத்து; முழு. )
Hole - a hollow place in a solid body or surface. (ஒரு திடமான உடல் அல்லது மேற்பரப்பில் ஒரு துளை. )
There were holes in the whole cake. (முழு கேக்கில் துளைகள் இருந்தன. )
7. Prey, Pray
Prey - an animal that is hunted and killed by another for food. (ஒரு விலங்கு மற்று ஒரு விலங்கை வேட்டையாடி உணவுக்காக கொல்லுவது)
Pray - address a prayer to God or another deity. (கடவுள் அல்லது வேறு தெய்வதிற்கு ஒரு பிரார்த்தனை. )
The elephant fell prey to the tiger and got hurt. Everybody was praying for the elephant to get well soon. (யானை புலி இரையாகி காயம்பட்டுவிட்டது. யானை விரைவில் நன்றாக குணமடைய எல்லோரும் பிரார்த்தனை செய்து கொண்டிருந்தனர். )
