1. Around the clock (ದಿನ ಪೂರ್ತಿ) - If something is open around the clock, it means it is open 24 hours a day.
E. g. The hotel's service is great, there is always someone available to help you around the clock.
2. Beat the clock (ನಿಗದಿತ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮುಗಿಸುವುದು) - do something within the deadline:
E. g. We managed to beat the clock and get everything finished in time.
3. Call it a day/Night (ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು) - To stop doing something for a while, normally at least until the following day. This can also be used as slang to say something has been ended completely.
E. g. Right guys, you’ve worked really hard. I think it’s time to call it a night, I’ll see you all again tomorrow.
4. Against the clock (ಕೆಲಸ ಮುಗಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೇ ಸಮಯ ಇರುವುದು) - Doing something against the clock means you are rushed and have very little time to do it.
E. g. I worked day and night against the clock to get this done on time, and you’re being so ungrateful!
5. Run out of time (ಸಮಯ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದು) - not have any time left.
E. g. We've run out of time on this project.
6. Have spare time (ಬಿಡುವಿನ ಸಮಯ) - have free time.
E. g. What do you do in your spare time?
7. In the nick of time (ಸರಿಯಾದ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ) - without a second to spare.
E. g. We got here in the nick of time. Look at all that rain!
