1) Say the hour first and then the minutes. (Hour + Minutes)
(पहले घंटा और फिर मिनट, जैसे:)
6:25 - It's six twenty - five (छः बजकर पच्चीस मिनट)
8:05 - It's eight O - five (the O is said like the letter O) (आठ बजकर पांच मिनट)
9:11 - It's nine eleven (नौ ग्यारह)
2:34 - It's two thirty - four (दो बजकर चौंतीस मिनट)
2) Say the minutes first and then the hour. (Minutes + PAST/TO + Hour)
(पहले मिनट और फिर घंटा बताना)
For minutes 1 - 30 we use PAST after the minutes.
(1 - 30 मिनट के लिए हम मिनट के बाद 'PAST' का इस्तेमाल करते हैं)
For minutes 31 - 59 we use TO after the minutes.
(31 - 59 मिनट के लिए हम मिनट के बाद 'To' का इस्तेमाल करते हैं)
2:35 - It's twenty - five to three (तीन बजने में पच्चीस मिनट)
11:20 - It's twenty past eleven (11 बजकर 20 मिनट)
4:18 - It's eighteen past four (4 बजकर 18 मिनट)
8:51 - It's nine to nine (9 बजने में 9 मिनट)
2:59 - It's one to three (3 बजने में 1 मिनट)
When it is 15 minutes past the hour we normally say:
(a) quarter past (जब समय से 15 मिनट ज़्यादा हो गए हो तो हम: quarter past/a quarter past कहते हैं)
7:15 - It's quarter past seven (7 बजकर 15 मिनट)
When it is 15 minutes before the hour we normally say: a quarter to (जब समय होने में 15 मिनट कम हों तो हम: a quarter to कहते हैं)
12:45 - It's quarter to one (1 बजने में 15 मिनट)
When it is 30 minutes past the hour we normally say: half past (जब समय से 30 मिनट ज़्यादा हो गए हो तो हम: half past कहते हैं)
3:30 - It's half past three (but we can also say three - thirty) (3 बजकर 30 मिनट)
Note:
1. O'clock
We use o'clock when there are NO minutes.
(जब कोई मिनट नहीं होते तो 'o'clock' का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है. )
10:00 - It's ten o'clock
5:00 - It's five o'clock
1:00 - It's one o'clock
Sometimes it is written as 9 o'clock (the number + o'clock)
2. For 12:00 there are four expressions in English.
(12 बजे को अंग्रेजी में 4 तरह से लिखा/कहा जा सकता है. )
