There are two common ways of telling the time.
(वेळ सांगण्याचे दोन सामान्य मार्ग आहेत. )
1) Say the hour first and then the minutes. (Hour + Minutes)
आधी तास आणि मग मिनिटे सांगा. (तास + मिनिटे)
6:25 - It's six twenty - five
(सहा वाजून पंचवीस मिनिटे झाली आहेत)
8:05 - It's eight O - five (the O is said like the letter O)
(आठ वाजून पाच मिनिटे झाली आहेत - O चे अक्षर 'O' सारखे उच्चारण केले जाते)
9:11 - It's nine eleven
(नऊ वाजून अकरा मिनिटे झाली आहेत)
2:34 - It's two thirty - four
(दोन वाजून चौतीस मिनिटे झाली आहेत)
2) Say the minutes first and then the hour. (Minutes + PAST/TO + Hour)
(आधी मिनिटे आणि मग तास सांगा) (मिनिटे + वाजून/वाजण्यास + तास)
For minutes 1 - 30 we use PAST after the minutes.
(1 - 30 मिनिटांसाठी आपण मिनिटांनंतर PAST वापरतो. )
For minutes 31 - 59 we use TO after the minutes.
(31 - 59 मिनिटांसाठी आपण मिनिटांनंतर TO वापरतो. )
2:35 - It's twenty - five to three
(तीन वाजण्यास 25 मिनिटे बाकी आहेत. )
11:20 - It's twenty past eleven
(अकरा वाजून वीस मिनिटे झाली आहेत. )
4:18 - It's eighteen past four
(चार वाजून अठरा मिनिटे झाली आहेत. )
8:51 - It's nine to nine
(नऊ वाजण्यास नऊ मिनिटे बाकी आहेत. )
2:59 - It's one to three
(तीन वाजण्यास एक मिनिट बाकी आहे. )
When it is 15 minutes past the hour we normally say: (a) quarter past
(जेव्हा एखाद्या तासानंतर 15 मिनिटे झाली असतील तेव्हा आपण हे म्हणतो)
7:15 - It's quarter past seven
(सव्वा सात वाजलेत)
When it is 15 minutes before the hour we normally say: a quarter to
(जेव्हा एखाद्या तासाची शेवटची 15 मिनिटे उरली असतील तर आपण हे म्हणतो)
12:45 - It's quarter to one
(पावणे एक वाजला आहे)
When it is 30 minutes past the hour we normally say: half past
(जेव्हा एखाद्या तासानंतर 30 मिनिटे झाली असतील तेव्हा आपण हे म्हणतो)
3:30 - It's half past three (but we can also say three - thirty)
(साडे - तीन वाजलेत) (तीन वाजून तीस मिनिटे झालीत असेदेखील आपण म्हणू शकतो)

1. O'clock
We use o'clock when there are NO minutes.
(जेव्हा मिनिटे नसतात म्हणजेच पूर्ण तास झालेला असतो तेव्हा आपण हे वापरतो)
10:00 - It's ten o'clock
5:00 - It's five o'clock
1:00 - It's one o'clock
Sometimes it is written as 9 o'clock (the number + o'clock)
(कधीकधी संख्या + o'clock असे लिहिलेले असते. )
2. For 12:00 there are four expressions in English.
(बारा वाजलेले असतील तर ते चार प्रकारे दर्शविता येतात. )
