فی الجملة المبنية للمجھول يكون الفاعل محل المفعول أى تبدأ الجملة بالمفعول وتنتهى بالفاعل فی ھذا المثال المکتب هو الفاعل subject و عمر هو المفعولobject وتكون صيغة الجملة المبنية للمجهول هكذا:
Subject + فعل Be + التصريف الثالث للفعل Past participle of verb + بواسطة by + المفعول object
