Ramesh cleans the office everyday. = रमेश हर रोज ऑफिस की सफाई करता है.
एक्टिव वाक्य में कार्य करने वाला, वाक्य का subject है और कार्य का परिणाम प्राप्त करने वाला object है.
इस उदाहरण में रमेश subject है और ऑफिस object है.
हम एक्टिव वाक्य का इस्तेमाल, subject ने क्या किया यह बताने के लिए करते हैं.
एक्टिव वाक्य ऐसे बनता है :
Subject जो कार्य कर रहा है ( Subject) + क्रिया (Verb) + कार्य प्राप्त करने वाला object (Object).

The office is cleaned by Ramesh. = ऑफिस, रमेश द्वारा साफ़ किया जाता है.
पैसिव वाक्य में कार्य प्राप्त होने वाला वाक्य का subject है और कार्य करने वाला object है.
इस उदाहरण में ऑफिस subject है और रमेश object है.
हम पैसिव वाक्य का इस्तेमाल तब करते हैं जब हमे बताना हो कि subject का क्या हुआ.
पैसिव वाक्य ऐसे बनता है :
कार्य प्राप्त होने वाला subject ( Subject) + be + क्रिया पास्ट पार्टिसिप्ल (Past participle of verb) + द्वारा (by) + object जो कार्य कर रहा है (Object).

Someone has stolen my purse. (एक्टिव वाक्य) = किसी ने मेरा पर्स चोरी कर लिया है.
अगर एक्टिव वाक्य में subject महत्तव का ना हो या अंजान हो तो हम पैसिव वाक्य में से कार्य करने वाले को हटा देते हैं.
My purse has been stolen ( पैसिव वाक्य) = मेरा पर्स चोरी हो गया है.
यहाँ हमने 'someone' नहीं लगाया क्यूंकि इस पैसिव वाक्य में कार्य करने वाला बहुत ज़ाहिर है.
'Someone will finish the work by 5:00 pm.' का सही पैसिव रूप चुनिए.;
The work was finished by 5 PM.
The work will be finish by 5:00 pm.

'Someone delivered the newspaper this morning.' का सही पैसिव रूप चुनिए.;

Active: Someone made this film in 2004. = किसी ने यह फिल्म 2004 में बनाई थी.

Passive : The film was made in 2004. = फिल्म 2004 में बनाई गयी थी.

जब हम पैसिव वाक्य बनाते है, तब हम अक्सर उस व्यक्ति या चीज़ का उल्लेक्ख नहीं करते जिसने वह कार्य किया है.
यहाँ हमने एजेंट, जिस व्यक्ति ने फिल्म बनाई (Someone) उसका ज़िक्र नहीं किया है क्यूंकि 'someone' ज़रूरी नहीं है.
The film was made by Subhash Ghai. = फिल्म सुभाष घई द्वारा बनाई गई थी.
एजेंट हमे बताता है की किस व्यक्ति या किस चीज़ ने क्या किया है या किसके द्वारा कार्य किया गया है.
जिसके द्वारा कार्य किया गया है वह बताने के लिए एजेंट के आगे 'by' का प्रयोग करते है.
'Neha painted the pots.' का सही पैसिव रूप चुनिए.;
