'Either' को प्रयोग वाक्यमा दिइएका दुई विकल्पहरू भन्दा पहिला गरिन्छ र दुवै विकल्पहरूको बीचमा 'or' को प्रयोग हुन्छ.

Ask him to either wait or go away = उसलाई भन या त पर्खनु या जानु.

यहाँ ‘पर्खनु’ र ‘जानु’ दुई विकल्प दिइएको छ. त्यसैले दुवै विकल्पहरू भन्दा पहिला 'either' र बीचमा 'or' को प्रयोग गरिन्छ.

Neither = दुई मध्ये कुनै पनि होइन.

'Neither' को प्रयोग पनि वाक्यहरूमा दिइएको दुई विकल्पहरू भन्दा पहिला गरिन्छ र दुवै विकल्पहरूको बीचमा 'nor' को प्रयोग हुन्छ.

Neither Ram nor Shyam is present today = न राम र न नै श्याम आज उपस्थित छ.

वाक्यमा राम र श्याम मध्ये कोहि पनि उपस्थित छैन, त्यसैले 'neither - nor' को प्रयोग गरिन्छ.

'म न मान्छेसंग डराउछु न नै जनावरसंग.' को अंग्रेज़ीमा अनुवाद छनौट गर्नुहोस्;

यहाँ दुई (वा दुई भन्दा धेरै) वस्तुहरू मध्येबाट हामीले कुनै पनि किनेनौं, अतः वाक्य नकारात्मक छ, त्यसैले 'neither' को प्रयोग गरिएको हो.
