Smart -> Smartest. सामान्यतया साना शब्दहरुको Superlative फर्म the + adjective + est लगाएर बन्छ.
She is the most intelligent girl of our class
=
उनी हाम्रो कक्षाको सबभन्दा बुद्धिमान केटी हुन्.
Intelligent -> Most intelligent. सामान्यतया लामो शब्दहरुको superlative फर्म 'the most' + adjective लगाएर बन्छ.

जुन शब्दहरुमा अन्तिमको दुई अक्षर एक स्वर (o) र त्यस पछि एक व्यंजन छ (t), भने superlative फर्ममा अन्तिमको व्यंजन दुई पटक आउँछ hottest. यदि अन्तिमको व्यंजन अगाडि दुई स्वर छ (steep) भने व्यंजन दुई पटक आउदैन (steepest).
