সে বলেছিল \'আমি আইসক্রিম পছন্দ করি\'
এটা 'direct speech' - কোনও ব্যক্তির বলা কথা কে, তারই (বক্তার) শব্দে আবার বলা হচ্ছে।
এখানে বক্তা নিজেকে 'I' দ্বারা ব্যক্ত করছে, তাই যখন আমরা তার শব্দে কথা পুনর্ব্যক্ত করি , তখন বাক্যে 'I' আসে।
যখন আমরা বক্তার শব্দে কথা পুনর্ব্যক্ত করি, তখন বলা বাক্য \'inverted commas\' এর ভিতরে লিখি।
এখানে বক্তা নিজেকে 'I' দ্বারা ব্যক্ত করছে, তাই যখন আমরা তার শব্দে কথা পুনর্ব্যক্ত করি , তখন বাক্যে 'I' আসে।

তাই রিপোর্টেড স্পীচে personal pronoun - 'I', বদলায় না, কারণ আপনি আপনার নিজের শব্দে কথা বলার সময় ,নিজেকে 'I' দ্বারাই ব্যক্ত করবেন।

এখানে You -> She তে বদলায়, কারণ রিপোর্ট করার সময়, 'Neha' আপনার সাপেক্ষে 3rd person (অন্য ব্যক্তি)
Reported speech এ নেহা 2nd person না, কারণ আপনি সরাসরি তার সঙ্গে কথা বলছেন না।
এখানে You -> She তে বদলায়, কারণ রিপোর্ট করার সময়, 'Neha' আপনার সাপেক্ষে 3rd person (অন্য ব্যক্তি)
Reported speech এ নেহা 2nd person না, কারণ আপনি সরাসরি তার সঙ্গে কথা বলছেন না।

Reported speech: এখানে work-> worked এ বদলানো হয়েছে কারণ রিপোর্টড স্পীচ এ verb (said) এর অতীত কাল হয়। যখন আমরা direct speech কে reported speech এ বদলাই, তখন যদি reported verb (eg: said) অতীত কালে থাকে, তাহলে reported speech এর tense, direct speech এ দেওয়া tense এর অতীত কালের রূপ হয়
কখনও কখনও এমন বাক্যে tense বদলায় না - এটা তখন হয়, যখন, আমরা যেটা বলছি, সেটা তখনও সত্যি, বা কোনও 'universal truth' (eg: The Sun is a star)
