Lesson 220
Reported speech: Practice of tenses
Consejo
She said, \'I like ice-cream\' = Ella dijo, \' Me gusta el helado\'
Por ejemplo: She said, 'I like ice-cream’. - Ella dijo, ‘Me gusta el helado’. o
'I like ice-cream', She said. 'Me gusta el helado’, ella dijo.
She said (that) she liked ice-cream = Ella dijo (que) le gustaba el helado
Consejo
I said, 'I am the best student of the class' = Dije, 'Soy el mejor estudiante de toda la clase'
I said (that) I was the best student of the class = Dije que era el mejor estudiante de toda la clase.
Consejo
She told Maria, \'you are pretty\' = Ella le dijo a Maria, ”eres guapa\'
She told Maria that she was pretty = Ella le dijo a Maria que era guapa.
Consejo
Ivan said, \'I work in Latin America.\' = Ivan dijo, ”Trabajo en América Latina.\'
Estilo directo: Ivan said, \'I work in Latin America.”
Ivan said (that) he worked in Latin America = Ivan dijo (que) trabajaba en América Latina.

(Ej: The Sun is a star. El sol es una estrella).
