In: જો કોઈ વસ્તુ કોઈ ભૌતિક જગ્યા (કોઈ જગ્યા / ચાર દિવાલ / ડબ્બો) ની અંદર હોય તો આપણે 'in' (માં) વાપરીએ છીએ.

On: જ્યારે કોઈ વસ્તુ કોઈ વસ્તુની ઉપર રાખી હોય તો 'On' (પર) વાપરીએ છીએ

At: જ્યારે કોઈ વિશિષ્ટ બિંદુ કે સ્થાન પર ઉપસ્થિત હોય, તો 'at' ઉપયોગ થાય છે
