Present progressive మరియు Present continuous ఒకటే tense యొక్క రెండు పేర్లు. ఇందులో వర్తమానంలో జరిగే పనుల గురించి వివరిస్తాము.

ఇది సాధారణ వర్తమాన కాలం కంటే భిన్నంగా ఉంటుంది , ఎందుకంటె ఇందులో మనం చెప్పేటప్పుడు జరిగే లేదా చాలా సమయం నుంచి జరుగుతూ ఉన్న సంఘటనలను వివరిస్తాము (కానీ రోజు చేసే అలవాట్ల గురించి కాదు)

Present Progressive Tense చాలా సమయం నుండి జరిగే పనిని కూడా సూచిస్తుంది. ఆ పని progress లో ఉన్నా, ఖచ్చితంగా, ఈ సమయంలో జరుగుతూ ఉండాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు.
Eg. I am preparing for a dance competition.

మీరు డాన్స్ పోటి కోసం సిద్ధమవుతున్నారు - ఇది ఇంకొంత కాలం కొనసాగుతుంది అందుకే present progressive tense వస్తుంది.

ఇది ఎప్పుడు చేసే పని కాదు కాబట్టి simple present tense రాదు.
