জিমির পা ভেঙ্গে গেছে যখন সে হকি খেলছিল / হকি খেলতে গিয়ে জিমির পা ভেঙ্গেছিল।
আমরা সাধারণ ভুতকালের (broke) এর ব্যবহার অতীত কালে একটি কাজ কে শেষ করবার জন্য করে থাকি।
Past Continuous এর ব্যবহার প্রায় সেই সব কাজের জন্য হয় যেটা অতীত কালে দির্ঘকাল ব্যাপী হয়ে থাকে এবং পরস্পর কাজ দ্বারা বাধাপ্রাপ্ত হয়। (was playing hockey)
অর্থাৎ এখানে য্খন জিমি হকি খেলছিল তখন তার পা ভেঙ্গেছিল, হকি খেলার কাজ অবরুদ্ধ হল।
Past Continuous বাক্যে was/were ক্রিয়ার সাথে -ing হয়।
Past Continuous এর ব্যবহার প্রায় সেই সব কাজের জন্য হয় যেটা অতীত কালে দির্ঘকাল ব্যাপী হয়ে থাকে এবং পরস্পর কাজ দ্বারা বাধাপ্রাপ্ত হয়। (was playing hockey)
অর্থাৎ এখানে য্খন জিমি হকি খেলছিল তখন তার পা ভেঙ্গেছিল, হকি খেলার কাজ অবরুদ্ধ হল।
Past Continuous বাক্যে was/were ক্রিয়ার সাথে -ing হয়।
