Stressing that India always wanted friendly ties with its neighbours, including Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that "we want to live in harmony and peace".
"I have said it repeatedly that India has to fight poverty, Pakistan too has to fight poverty; why don't we come together to fight poverty, " he said in an interview with TimesNow news channel.
Modi said that despite the fact that India wants peace and friendly relations with its neighbours, it will not ignore its national interests.
