With the aim to promote investments in the state, Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Friday inaugurated the "Magnificent Madhya Pradesh" event by lighting a lamp.
Over 900 business representatives are participating in the event organised at the Brilliant Convention Centre here.
Agreements worth Rs 1 lakh crore are expected to be inked during the event.
The investments are likely to generate over two lakh jobs in the state.
The day - long programme will see several sessions, which will be attended by leading businessmen.
They will be briefed about the facilities being provided by the state government.
