India discards Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir and Suresh Raina will lead India Red, Blue and Green in the upcoming Duleep Trophy, which will be played for the first time with pink ball and under lights, the BCCI announced on Thursday.
The tournament will be played from August 23 to September 14 at Greater Noida International Cricket Stadium, in the outskirts of the national capital.
The tournament will give the Test hopefuls a chance to showcase their potential ahead of the long international season at home, in which India hosts New Zealand for three Tests, followed by four against England later this year.
In the new year, Bangladesh will visit India for an one - off Test followed by Australia playing four Tests in India.
While the first game will be played between India Red and India Green from August 23 to 26, the second match will see India Red taking on India Blue from August 29 to September 1 followed by the game between India Blue and India Green from September 4 to 7.
The final will be played from September 10 to 14.
