US stocks ended mixed on Wednesday in anticipation of the approval of a massive coronavirus stimulus package.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 495. 64 points, or 2. 39 per cent, to 21, 200. 55.
The S&P 500 rose 28. 23 points, or 1. 15 per cent, to 2, 475. 56.
The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 33. 56 points, or 0. 45 per cent, to 7, 384. 30, Xinhua reported.
Eight of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors closed higher, with industrials up 5. 29 per cent, outpacing the rest.
