Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended his best wishes to the athletes competing in the upcoming Paralympics Games beginning from Septemder 7 in Rio De Janeiro.
"The people of India will be enthusiastically cheering for our athletes representing India at the Rio 2016 Paralympics, starting September 7, " Modi said. .
"We all wish our contingent for the Rio 2016 Paralympics the very best.
I am sure our athletes will give their best and make us proud, " he added.
Seventeen athletes (15 men, two women) will be taking part in the five events.
This is the largest ever contingent ever that India will be sending for Paralympics.
