 Veteran filmmaker Martin Scorsese's TV show "Vinyl" got renewed for the second season just after its season one debut episode. 
 
The 1970s rock and roll drama "Vinyl", which marks Scorsese's debut on television, premiered in India on Wednesday and internationally on February 14. 
Created by Mick Jagger, Scorsese, Rich Cohen and Terence Winter, "Vinyl" was so well received globally that its studio HBO has renewed the show for its second season, read statement.  
The show's two hour pilot was directed by Scorsese from teleplay by Terence Winter and George Mastras, and story by Cohen, Jagger, Scorsese and Winter. This will be followed by hour long episodes starting February 24 on Star World Premiere HD. 
  
It features Bobby Cannavale as Richie Finestra, record label president who is trying to save his company and his soul without destroying everyone in his path. The first season of "Vinyl" also stars Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Ato Essandoh and Max Casella.
