New Zealand Prime Minister John Key will be on a state visit to India from October 24 to 27 and his visit will boost business ties with India, said Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Vikas Swarup on Thursday.
"He will lead a high - level business and education delegation.
He will arrive in Mumbai on 24th evening.
In Mumbai, he will deliver a keynote address in event organised by the Bombay Stock Exchange in association with Chambers of Commerce, " said Swarup.
"He will also meet with the Governor and Chief minister of Maharashtra.
He will also attend Innovation showcase event to celebrate 'Innovation in New Zealand - India business partnership', " he added.
In New Delhi, Key will hold one - to - one meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi followed by official delegation - level meet to discuss the growing bilateral relations.
He will also call on President Pranab Mukherjee.
"He will be attending a business summit as well, " Swarup said.
The New Zealand Prime Minister will depart from New Delhi on October 27 via Kochi.
"In Kochi, the Prime Minister and his delegation will undertake a short tour of the new Kochi international terminal and the work undertaken by the New Zealand company Glidepath, " said Swarup.
Key will also be accompanied by members of New Zealand Parliament Mark Mitchell, who is chair of foreign affairs, defence and trade select committee, and Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi.
