Singer Benny Dayal is excited to perform at the Global Citizen Festival India, which will have Coldplay and Jay Z. He says it means a lot.
"Performing at this festival means a lot to me because there are so many musicians who have been and (have) become my heroes and inspirations, " Benny told IANS.
The "Badtameez Dil" singer will be performing with musical group Medieval Punditz and musician Karsh Kale.
They have "been inspiring me musically for a decade or more now, " Benny said.
The 32 - year - old will be performing before rapper Jay Z, who has been an inspiration to Benny.
"Jay Z has been an inspiration to me because of his musical success and his capability to just walk into the studio and record a song without even having to write his lyrics on a piece of paper, and of course having the pleasure to be performing on the same stage as Jay Z and Coldplay. . .
It doesn't get any better, " he said.
The "Ude dil befikre" singer is happy that his mentor A. R. Rahman will be at the event too.
