When asked if he was interested in working on web series as Ekta Kapoor is venturing into it and exploring the digital media, Karan said: "No.

The filmmaker made the statement at a press meet here on Tuesday for an upcoming music reality show "Dil Hai Hindustani".
"Creating digital content is appreciable, but we should use the medium powerfully, " he said.

Though Karan will be judging a music reality show for the first time, he is very popular on television not only because of his celebrity chat show "Koffee With Karan", but also as judge for reality shows like "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" and "India's Got Talent".
As his chat show is grabbing headlines for celeb comments, Karan believes that this season his guests are a bit more guarded while talking about anyone because the media pays too much attention which might be good for the publicity of the show but not for the celebrities.
