Court language is English, says Supreme Court

There was a plea for amending the provisions of the Constitution to make Hindi the official language in the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court today refused to entertain the plea, saying the court language is English.

"We cannot pass such direction as the court language is English, " a bench of Chief Justice T S Thakur, Justice A K Sikri and Justice R Banumathi said.
