Light travels at speed of 29, 97, 92, 458 metres per second, which is about 100 crore kmph. According to Einstein's theory of special relativity, an object's mass increases as its speed increases. On approaching light's speed, the mass becomes so large that increasing force will not provide enough acceleration to even achieve the speed of light.
