Indian tyre maker CEAT Ltd has announced that it has launched its new Fuelsmarrt tyres in India for passenger cars. The new tyre has been designed specifically to improve mileage by 7 percent over regular passenger car tyres, tested in the same conditions. While offering better fuel economy, these new Fuelsmarrt tyres also claim to provide a level of quality that continue to raise the standards in tyres for India's passenger car industry. The technology used in the CEAT Fuelsmarrt tyre range gets interlocked blocks that help reduce rolling resistance to the minimum.
The treads of the Fuelsmarrt tyres are designed to be aesthetically pleasing and also offer a more uniform and larger surface contact area on the road. The new tyres have been designed so that they last longer, helping maintain the rolling resistance measure throughout the product life. CEAT estimates that consumers can save up to INR 15, 000 with the new tyres running for running 36, 500 kilometers.
The new Fuelsmarrt tyres are made of a special polymer - based functionalized compound, resulting in a wide circumferential groove that can grip roads and helps keep the vehicle secure as well as stable. The stiffer shoulder blocks of the Fuelsmarrt helps keep the vehicle within the driver's control while navigating all types of curves, minimizing slippage risks.
