 The Delhi High Court on Wednesday took suo motu cognizance of media report which said that 21 year old speech and hearing impaired woman has been missing from Adarsh Nagar Metro Station here since April 21. 
division bench of Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Deepa Sharma sought status report from the Delhi Police on the issue. 
According to the news report, while travelling in the Delhi Metro on April 21, the woman was unable to get out of the train at Jahangirpuri station, while her mother and sister deboarded. 
Delhi Metro official had said that team was constituted to look into the case. 
The team would also scan through the video footage of CCTV cameras installed inside the stations, he said. 
Later, in one of the video footages, the woman was seen coming out at the next Metro station, Adarsh Nagar. 
The incident came to light on the evening of April 21 when the mother approached the Metro Police Station. 
The incident had taken place in the afternoon.
