World No. 25 Suarez needed one hour and 25 minutes to defeat World No. 14 Vesnina 6 - 2, 6 - 4, reports Efe.
The Spaniard could face World No. 2 and Stuttgart's reigning champion Angelique Kerber in the quarterfinals if the German beats World No. 19 French Kristina Mladenovic later in the day.
