AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj gave a live demonstration of how an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) can be hacked during a special session of the Delhi Assembly today.
The Greater Kailash MLA hacked a dummy EVM in Delhi Assembly to prove his party's claims that voting machines can be tampered with, to favour a particular party. The EVM used by Saurabh Bharadwaj was not the same used by the Election Commission in actual polling.
"The EVM uses a secret code for every party. If one is able to hack the secret coding process, the results of votes polled can easily be manipulated. A common engineer can tamper with the EVMs, " Bharadwaj said while explaining the step - by - step procedure of hacking the voting machine.
"Give us the EVMs used in Gujarat, I challenge BJP would not be able to win even a single seat, " the AAP MLA said.
