Two separatist militants werwith security forces and guerrillas in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
A senior police officer here told IANS, "Security forces surrounded a house in Beigh Mohalla area today (Friday) morning. "
"When theforces closed on the house where militants were hiding, they came under heavy gunfire from the militants.
"Firing exchanges are still going on in the area, " the official added.
