Indian fans of the British - American crime drama television series "Sherlock" have a reason to rejoice. The show's much - awaited special episode "Sherlock: The Abominable Bride" will premiere in the country on Saturday.
Set in the Victorian London of 1895, this special episode will witness Sherlock Holmes, played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Dr. John Watson, played by Martin Freeman, in a different era.
"'Sherlock' is an icon worldwide, and AXN is the home to 'Sherlock' in India. The fans here have waited two long years to see the new episode of this cult show, and we are very excited to be premiering it, " Saurabh Yagnik, executive vice - president and business head, Sony PIX and AXN India said in a statement.
