An extortionist who posed as an underworld don and demanded crores from businessmen in the city and other parts of the country has been arrested here, police said on Tuesday.
Pranay Tiwari, 27, was arrested early on Monday from Ratehara in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa, said Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Deo.
Deo said at least four cases have been worked out with the arrest of Tiwari, who is a resident of Rewa.
Police said Tiwari posed as underworld don Rizwan Khan and demanded Rs 1 to 5 crores and threatened people of dire consequences if they didn't pay.
