Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday referred to the steep fall in indices to take a dig at the Modi government's Budget and said the sensex had placed a "solid no - confidence motion" against it.
"In Parliamentary language, the Sensex just placed a solid 800 point No Confidence Motion against Modi's budget, " Gandhi said in a tweet.
The barometer 30 - scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) plunged by 839. 91 points or 2. 34 per cent to 35, 066. 75 points on Friday, a day after the presentation of the Union Budget by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
