Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has expressed his condolences to the family of former national goalkeeper Chow Chee Keong who passed away on Wednesday morning.
"Received news of the death of former national goalkeeper Chow Chee Keong.
"He was the best Asian goalkeeper for five consecutive years, and a Malaysian football legend. My condolences to his family, " Najib said in a tweet.
Chee Keong, one of the best goalkeepers Malaysia has produced, died of cancer of the bladder at the University Malaya Medical Centre after undergoing heart bypass surgery on Jan 17.
