 The Judo Federation of India (JFI) on Monday announced that it has been allotted the Commonwealth Judo Championships 2018 which will be organised in Jaipur. 
 
"The Commonwealth Judo Championships 2018 were allotted to India, by the Commonwealth Judo Congress held April 23 at Port Elizabeth, South Africa, JFI said in statement. 
The Commonwealth Judo Championships are the official event of the Commonwealth Judo Associations and are organised every two years for Cadets, Junior, Seniors, Masters and visually impaired judo players.  
This will be the first time that Commonwealth Judo Championships will be held in India. The Championships will be held in Jaipur in Rajasthan but the dates are yet to be finalised, JFI added. 
  
JFI is also organising the 10th Asian Cadet Judo Championships and 17th Asian Juniors Judo Championships later this year.  
The 10th Asian Cadet and 17th Asian Junior Judo Championships will be held from September to 12 at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Kadvanthaa in Ernakulam, Kerala. This is the official event of the Judo Union of Asia (JUA) and also one of the events of World Ranking for Cadet and Juniors Judokas.  
In conjunction with this Championships, JUA Refereeing Seminar and Examination will also be organised.
