The Westminster Abbey in the heart of London is the place where all royal events take place. In order to celebrate the relations between Pakistan and UK, a yearly Pakistan Day Special Memorial Service was held with the Pakistani flag hoisted on top of the abbey.
Every year the high commissioners of the Commonwealth countries are invited to the abbey by the dean close to the national day of the country. The National Flag of the country is flown on the day with the commissioners attending the memorial.
This year was the third time the Pakistani flag was flown on top of the abbey while back in Pakistan the armed forces prepare for the 23rd March parade.
The Pakistan Day Parade was resumed in 2015 after a hiatus of seven years due to security concerns. The last year Parade was special because it featured the People’s Liberation Army of China and Saudi Special Force Contingent with Turkish Janissary Military Band.
