Indian Nidhi Mahajan, a contestant in MasterChef Australia Season 8, has impressed master chef Marco Pierre White with her skilful use of spices.
"I just love your cooking.
Your use of spice is genius.
I wish you had a restaurant where I live, I would be there every week, " White told Mahajan in a video shared on Facebook.
The Indian chef also shared that her father did not support her dream of becoming a chef.
"When I was 13 years old, I wanted to become a chef.
I told my dad and he was like 'No, chef profession is not for girls in India', " she said in the video.
White has trained chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Curtis Stone and Shannon Bennett.
MasterChef Australia Season 8 will premiere in India on Star World and Star World HD in May.
