 Three United Nations entities have been informed of the intentions of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to launch an earth observation satellite between February 25, said UN spokesman on Tuesday. 
 
North Korea has told the International Civil Aviation Organisation, International Maritime Organisation and International Telecommunications Union about its plan to launch an earth observation satellite this month, said Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for the UN secretary general, at press briefing, Xinhua reported.  
"Right now we are carefully monitoring the developments and we are in close touch with interested parties and the international organisations, he said.
