Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun (pic) will look into addressing water woes faced by Raub residents if she is elected MP there.
The MCA vice - president said this was one of her aspirations that would be included in her personal manifesto that would be unveiled soon.
She is slated to face a three - cornered fight with the DAP and PAS for the parliamentary seat.
Chew said a project to construct a RM5mil sabo dam using Japanese technology was now under progress and expected to be ready in May.
“It is also the first one in Asia equipped with a three - layer filter system in place.
“Once completed, some 7, 600 houses within Raub town to Jalan Tras, including Raub Jaya and Sempalit, will be able to benefit from water supply from this dam, ” she said in an interview yesterday.
