The Clark County coroner identified those killed as 24 - year - old Daniella Suarez and 15 - year - old Julian Castillo, both of Las Vegas. They died of multiple blunt force trauma from the crash.
Words aren't enough to describe how family and friends of the victims are feeling right now.
Carmenza Castillo is the mother of Julian and aunt of Daniella. "As a family we are torn, we are devastated. "
Fighting back tears, Carmenza opened about her family's devastation.
"I lost my son. We lost our son. We lost our niece. "
Carmenza's only child, Julian was a 9th grader at Faith Lutheran High School. The 15 - year - old is known for drawing skills, his goofiness and witty sarcasm.
"His dad is a doctor. People sometimes ask him do you want to be a doctor? He goes like no I'd rather save an animal's life. "
Daniella Suarez was also an only child. Her parents are in Colombia. Daniella worked as a teaching assistant at Shenker Academy where she was well loved by her students.
"She is a jewel. A good girl extremely honest. Reliable. "
Jessica Soll, best friend and coworker of Daniella, says, "We were all going to go out tonight to celebrate her birthday. "
Suarez would've turned 25 Tuesday. But instead of celebrating, her loved ones are grieving.
Jessica describes says Daniella was great with kids.
"She would play with them. Run around when they want to be chased. She would get down on the ground and roll around just because they asked her to. . . I wish there was something that I could've done or something could've happened differently so that at least she could be here. Julian as well. "
