Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), one of Asia's largest life insurers, on Tuesday launched LIC e - services for benefits of its policyholders.
LIC policyholders can avail the services by registering their and their policy details with the insurer's website.
The policyholders after registering with the portal can avail services like viewing the policy schedule, the status of the policy/loan/claim, revival premium quote, payment of premium online, know the premium payment calendar and others, chairman S. K. Roy told reporters here.
LIC has been one of the pioneering organisations in India to leverage the information technology in servicing and in their business.
According to LIC, data pertaining to almost 10 crore policies is being held on its computers.
