Singer Armaan Malik is all praise for Damien Chazelle's Academy Award - winning film "Whiplash", which stars Miles Teller and J. K. Simmons.
Simmons plays a music teacher who pushes his students beyond their limits to achieve ultimate perfection.
Armaan, who considers his brother Amaal Mallik as his "biggest critic, guide and teacher", says Simmons played a "true task master" in the film, just like Amaal, who "always pushes" him to perfect his skills.
"He has never let me take things lightly.
He has always pushed me the hardest and whenever I took anything easy, he pushed me right back to the grind.
I think it's really important to have an inspiring figure like him in life, " Amaal told IANS.
"'Whiplash' is a fantastic film that shows the authentic struggle of musicians to achieve ultimate perfection, " he added.
"Whiplash" will air on Saturday on Star Movies Select HD in India.
