When Istanbul's "New Airport" (no final name attributed at press time) opens on October 30 - 31, 2018, Turkish Airlines will have what is projected to be the world's largest airport as a hub.
The airport is projected to eventually have a passenger capacity of 200 million. Size - wise, the airport will cover 11 million square feet - - it will be as large as a city itself.
Turkish Airlines, whose current marketing tag is "Widen Your World, " currently uses Oprah alum Dr. Memet Oz in its in flight focus on wellness both on the airline (known for its live chefs on board as well as a recently revamped business class) and its promotion of Turkey as a destination.
